Our Spanish program introduces students to grammar and vocabulary necessary for fundamental communication skills. From Kindergarten through 8th Grade, students continue the development of basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish, along with the study of cultures of Spanish-speaking peoples. Our program offers a consistent exposure to the language, offering classes 3-4 days a week from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
We teach our students to become lifelong learners by using the language for personal enjoyment and enrichment. They will be prepared not only to communicate in Spanish effectively but to better understand the challenges of our multicultural world.
Our middle school students at St. Thomas the Apostle participate in the Archdiocese of Miami Dual Enrollment Spanish I and Spanish II courses.
