Drama

Our Performing Arts Program offers middle school students a dynamic and enriching experience where creativity, discipline, and faith come together. Students receive hands-on training in acting, movement, voice, stage presence, while developing confidence, collaboration skills, and a strong work ethic.

We provide meaningful opportunities for students to perform on stage throughout the year, allowing them to grow as artists and storytellers. Students may qualify to be inducted into the International Thespian Honor Society, recognizing their dedication, leadership, and achievement in theatre arts.

Our program proudly participates in District 4 Thespian competitions, where students prepare to present monologues, duet scenes, solo musicals, costume design, etc. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents while competing against other schools. In addition, students benefit from theatre workshops and educational field trips that expose them to live performances and industry professionals.

St. Thomas the Apostle commitment to excellence is reflected in the success of our students. Many have been accepted into prestigious performing arts schools such as New World School of the Arts, Miami Arts Studio, and other competitive arts programs.

At the heart of everything we do is our faith. We strive to ensure that Christ is at the center while using the performing arts to glorify God and serve the community. Each year, students participate in a beautiful Nativity and Easter Passion Play, it is a cherished tradition that brings our school community together in reflection and celebration.

Through performance, training, and faith-filled mentorship, our Performing Arts Program nurtures students to grow not only as performers, but as confident, compassionate individuals ready to shine on and off the stage.

Spring Time

SPECTACULAR

Our annual Spring Production is a hallmark event that showcases the talent and dedication of our middle school students through a full-scale theatrical performance. Significant time, resources, and attention to detail are invested in every aspect of the production, from set design and costuming to choreography and overall presentation. The result is a polished and memorable experience that reflects our commitment to excellence and provides students the opportunity to develop confidence, creativity, and a love for the performing arts.

8th Grade

PASSION PLAY

Our annual Passion Play is a meaningful and deeply reverent tradition led by our 8th grade students. Through prayerful preparation and thoughtful performance, they bring the story of Christ’s Passion to life, allowing the entire school community and parish to reflect on its significance. This experience serves as both a spiritual milestone and a culminating moment in their time at our school, as students step into leadership roles and share their faith in a powerful and memorable way.

The Story of

CHRISTMAS

Our Christmas productions are a cherished tradition that bring the entire school community together in celebration of the true meaning of the season. We present three separate shows, each featuring musical performances alongside a reverent retelling of the Nativity story. Students of all ages take part, using their God-given talents in music and drama to bring the joy of Christ’s birth to life. Each production is thoughtfully prepared, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for families during this sacred time of year.
